Editorial policy

Research and revenue are separate.

A publisher can be included whether it pays PublisherCheck nothing, pays a referral fee, or declines to work with us.

No pay-to-rank

Compensation does not determine inclusion, ordering, editorial assessments or factual conclusions. Sponsored placements, if ever introduced, must be labeled as advertising rather than disguised as editorial rankings.

No invented facts

If we cannot verify a price, royalty basis, contract term or distribution relationship, the profile says so. We do not fill evidence gaps with AI-generated assumptions.

Company claims

Claims such as bestseller results, guaranteed media placements or sales reach should be attributed to the company unless independently verified.

Corrections and disputes

Companies should be able to point us to a current primary source or contract language when they believe a factual field is wrong. Correct evidence beats argument.

Publisher responses and updates

Factual corrections require the affected page, the disputed statement and dated supporting evidence. A publisher response is assessed on that evidence and may be attributed alongside unresolved questions. Payment does not influence the decision. Material corrections receive a dated note.
