What we do
We collect public deal terms from publishers and publishing-service companies, normalize the language, link to the source and mark information we could not verify. We focus on cost, royalty basis, rights, distribution, selection and contract transparency.
What we do not do
We do not promise publishing outcomes, provide legal advice, or treat a high royalty percentage as proof of a good deal. We also do not accept a company's own marketing description as the only way to classify a publishing path.
Why the site looks different from a review blog
PublisherCheck is designed around deal sheets, publisher profiles and calculators rather than volume publishing. Fewer, better-maintained profiles are more useful than hundreds of thin “best publisher” articles.
